Guacamole shouldn’t be complicated and I like mine really simple. A lot of other guacamole recipes include tomatoes and red onion but then what’s the point of the salsa if you have all those other ingredients in your guac?
This recipe is my mums and forever be my favourite. I used to make this all the time at uni and have passed it on to my good friends and housemates. They even now use it in their every day cooking too. It’s simple, healthy and bloody delicious.

This quick recipe for guacamole is a match made in heaven with pretty much everything on the blog but especially my Jalapeno Tomato Salsa, Vietnamese Prawn Mayo Rolls, Pork Pibil Tacos and Tuna Sashimi Tacos.
This recipe serves about 4-6 People but if you’re like me, you like a generous dollop the stuff on the side of your plate so it might only be consumed by 2. Tee hee.
- 2 Ripe Avacados, Skinned, Destoned & Halved
- 2 Garlic Cloves, Peeled & Crushed
- Juice of 2 Limes
- Half Teaspoon Salt
- In a pestal and mortar, smash your avocado til it becomes smooth yet chunky. S
- Add your garlic and bash along with your avocado.
- Squeeze your lime juice and add your salt to the mix. Smash it all together til well combined.
- Taste and see if it needs any extra salt, garlic or lime juice.
- Once it's to your tasting, put it in the fridge until serving.
